Sustainability, Transparency and Traceability

There is a justified and growing demand for sustainability in supply chains, particularly for textile products made from animal fibers. Mongolia is setting standards in this area. Nomadic herders, processors, and manufacturers have joined together in export clusters.

Together with the represented government agencies and research institutions, these groups of all relevant stakeholders support the export of sustainable textile and leather goods as well as cosmetic products to the global market. Members commit to adhering to many ethical standards: environmentally friendly animal husbandry, animal-friendly combing of hair, good working conditions for employees, and the highest product quality.

In doing so, the nomadic cooperatives ensure the traceability of raw materials, fair prices for nomadic families, and transparency and traceability throughout the entire value chain.

As a buyer, you are not only purchasing very high-quality and exclusive clothing, home textiles, leather goods, and cosmetics, but you are also contributing to the sustainable existence of animal herds, as well as their environment and the livelihoods of nomadic families in Mongolia.
